Our full story

And right now, our shamba is heavy with harvest.

And that is just one week.

The secret is in the water and the soil.

Curious how a dry county grows a harvest like this, every season? Step behind the scenes.

Numbers like these are never luck. They come from writing everything down.

05The record

Nothing here is left to memory.

Agronomists and trained supervisors walk these fields every single day. Every team carries a tablet, so work, water, inputs and harvests are logged the moment they happen. Our benchmark is Kenyan regulation and Global G.A.P. principles, from seedbed to dispatch.

  • 60blocks, each mapped and on record
  • 3supervisor checkpoints a day: saa tatu, saa sita and saa tisa na nusu
  • 288harvests in thirteen weeks, each logged and checked before it leaves the shamba

Our farmers
Working as an agronomist at Afro Farm gives me an opportunity to be involved to the day to day production of healthy crops. My main responsibility is to ensure crops are grown properly from planting up to harvesting. I'm proud to work at Afro Farm because it gives me the opportunity to apply my horticultural knowledge practically and see the results of work on the field.
